Paid airport parking starts next week

New cashless system launches on Tuesday following delay

Paid parking at Ronaldsway Airport will come into force next Tuesday, May 24th.

It was due to begin two days ago

Air travellers wishing to leave their vehicle will now have to use the cashless system.

Payment can be made either using a smart phone app or by card over the phone, by text message or online.

Once the registration process has been completed, customers using the app who have found a parking space should note the five-digit location number shown on signs and pay in advance for the required time – short stay car park 35800, long-stay car park 35801. Customers wishing to pay using the phone or online options should follow the instructions provided.

Anyone who doesn’t have a smartphone can call 01624 825717 and use a pre-registered payment card.

Those wishing to pay at the airport can do so inside the terminal building as one-hour free disc parking will also be available by visiting the information desk inside the Isle of Man Airport building, providing your vehicle registration and using a payment card. It will not be possible to pay at the desk using cash.

The new system replaces the barriers which have been broken for some time.

Anyone wishing to use the App needs to download RingGo which is available via Apple or Google Play.

They can then find a space for their vehicle, enter the location number where they are parked on their phone or device, and pay for the required duration.

If extra-time is needed due to delayed flight etc then additional payment can be made online.

Motorists whose vehicle is parked in the car parks prior to Tuesday May 24th will have four weeks to make alternative arrangements.

The rates remain the same as they did before the pandemic with a maximum charge of sixty pounds.
