Patients will have to fill out online questionnaire before being triaged
The way patients will book appointments at Palatine Group Practice will be changing from tomorrow morning (13 January 2026).
The GP says the new system 'will allow fairer access for all patients'.
From Tuesday, all queries will be triaged by a GP and then booked or signposted to the most appropriate care required.
Patients will have to visit an NHS webpage, where they will be required to answer a series of questions.
It will be available from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday - you can find it HERE.
The results of this questionnaire will then be forwarded to the practice's Triaging Clinician.
All medical queries will be dealt with at this point, whilst any administrative queries; like sick note requests, test result queries, referral follow ups, and so on, will go to their admin team to action appropriately.
Announcing the change on social media, the practice says: "We know not all patients have internet access so our admin can complete requests on behalf of these patients, or another person can submit online on their behalf."
The practice is asking patients to 'bear with' it whilst the new system commences, adding: "It will be a huge change for both patients and staff, but we hope that this will work better all around."
