Organisation to help with child mental health issues
A new Island charity has been set up to support the mothers and fathers of children with mental health problems.
Parent2Parent is the brainchild of Lorna and Emma, two mums who met when their children were being treated by the Island's Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.
They hope the charity will provide a sympathetic ear, as well as making people more aware of the importance of emotional and psychological health.
Lorna says whilst medical attention is understandably focused on the young person, there needs to be something for parents too:
