Programme makes school seem less daunting
The FAST program can help involve parents more in their children's education and make school seem 'less frightening'.
That's according to head of the Island's youth service, Ken Collister.
He says the Families and Schools Together, known as FAST, can encourage parents who may feel isolated to build friendships and feel more confident talking to teachers.
Ashley Hill, Henry Bloom Noble, Anagh Coar and Jurby Primary are the latest schools to take part in the scheme.
Mr Collister says it's not just the parents who benefit:
Man had 'sweetie shop' of drugs disguised as a candle
NSC pool shut with immediate effectÂ
'Power of veto' might help get difficult decisions through, says chief minister
Gas prices to remain unchanged for 2026
