Twenty-one questions put forward for ministers to answer

Parking permits, employment at the airport, hospital theatre cancellations and buying Manx - four of the topics in this week's House of Keys questions.

In addition, four bills come forward for a second reading.

The Legislative Council members will be debating an issue very close to their hearts and to one heart in particular on the upper shelf; the Bishop's vote.

Downstairs in the Keys, ministers will have 21 inquiries to mull over.

Two are what's termed 'starred questions', deemed to be important enough to be put at the start.

Douglas Central MHK Chris Thomas asks about the TT access road and whether DOI Minister Michelle Haywood will share any details about future improvement schemes - a major housing development is of course under construction just over the hill in Braddan.

Onchan MHK Julie Edge wants to know how many hospital theatre sessions have been cancelled since April.

Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse asks how many businesses have contacted the Department for Enterprise following the recently approved increase to the minimum wage.

Today's sitting gets underway at 10am - you can listen live on Manx Radio AM1368, DAB, online and on smartphone apps.
