Minister sets out plans to restart DHSC services
The health minister says no Manx residents have lost their lives as a result of his department's reduced service levels during the Covid-19 pandemic.
At yesterday's government media briefing, David Ashford announced plans to restart several key services in a phased approach, starting with things like endoscopy, general surgery, urology, and some cancer care.
A 'Return to Health' document will be published later today, to set out how different parts of DHSC will come back online.
Mr Ashford told Manx Radio he doesn't think any deaths have been caused by the hiatus:
Island's finances 'in a better position than most other jurisdictions'
Completion of assisted dying bill 'the most significant moment of 2025'
Keep dogs away from Garwick Beach for next few days
Cost of sending a letter on the Island to increase in January
