Vice-Chair Sharon Lambert says regular maintenance isn't authority's responsibility
Peel Commissioners says it isn't responsible for the upkeep of memorial benches but is encouraging residents to report if they are damaged.
It comes after a post on social media featuring images of a broken memorial bench was circulated among local pages.
She adds they can remove the plaque and pass it on to a relative or friend if they wish to keep it.
