Peel lifeboat crew faced high seas and strong winds last night (Friday) when they went to the rescue of a yacht in trouble nine miles off the coast.
The 32-foot vessell 'Windswept' had suffered fuel problems with four on board - one woman had become seriously sea sick.
The lifeboat crew battled in 32 knot winds to board the yacht - which was rolling at time almost horizontal in the gales.
Four hours later in the early hours today (Saturday) the yacht was towed into Peel - an operation fraught with difficulties in conditions described as abysmal.
