A volunteer lifeboatman in Peel has been chosen to represent the Isle of Man at the River Thames sail-past, to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee this summer.
Station mechanic Paul Cain (pictured) says he is honoured to be joining other volunteers on board a Tamar class lifeboat, one of 1,000 vessels selected for the flotilla on June 3.
Before that, he will be going on a training course at RNLI headquarters in Poole, for an update on the new Shannon class of lifeboats.
They will replace the Mersey class vessels currently used in Peel and Ramsey.
