'People have been left in limbo', says Garff MHK

Daphne Caine believes there's been a 'huge flaw' in terms of planning enforcement

A Garff MHK says residents in two properties in Laxey have been left in limbo and worried about the future after being evacuated from their homes. 

It follows a landslide at the former End Cafe site on Old Laxey Hill earlier this month which has led to the area being cordoned off. 

Daphne Caine told Manx Radio the commissioners had highlighted concerns around the digging work that was being done, but they were told it was complying with the planning conditions. 

However, she believes there was a 'huge flaw' in terms of planning enforcement:
