Cannan says issue should be in ‘public consciousness’
People on the Isle of Man need to have ‘open and frank’ conversations about the menopause.
That’s the message from the chief minister who believe it’s a topic which hasn’t been as important in ‘public consciousness’ as it should have been.
In Tynwald Alfred Cannan confirmed his government is supporting World Menopause Day which is taking place today.
He was quizzed by Douglas South MHK Claire Christian who told Manx Radio it was a 'really important topic'.
Mr Cannan said work is ongoing to provide people with the best possible support at home and at work:
