Plans for grooming operation are rejected
Britain’s largest retailer of pets and pet products has been blocked from expanding its offering on the Isle of Man.
Pets at Home had applied for permission to create a ‘pet care, treatment and grooming facility’ in its Douglas store on the Spring Valley Industrial Estate.
The retailer had planned to install a mezzanine level for consulting rooms where general pet care advice could be given and grooming and other ‘day to day’ care and treatment could be provided.
The retailer’s application was heard by the Planning Committee today (20 November) which voted against the proposals.
Manx Radio has contacted Pets at Home for reply.
