MDC expected to launch public consultation
Large scale development around the Westmoreland Road area of Douglas could be in the pipeline.
The chief minister has revealed it’s an area being considered for regeneration by the Manx Development Corporation.
Alfred Cannan made the announcement after launching government’s new ‘Built Environment Reform Programme’:
The MDC – which has secured planning permission to redevelop the old nurses’ home in the area - is expected to launch a public consultation on the new plans.
The Treasury is the sole shareholder of the company which aims to regenerate urban and brownfield sites.
