Developers show off proposed project
Pictures of a proposed new Manx ferry terminal in Liverpool have been released by developers Peel.
It's part of a £300 million planned investment in the city's Central Docks area, where work is due to get underway within the next twelve months.
Tynwald gave approval last July to purchase the land for a new terminal at Princes Dock, half a mile up from the existing site on the Pier Head.
Now computer-generated images of what the site could look like have been unveiled at a property conference in Cannes, France.
Directors of the Liverpool Waters project say the city council is already working to provide road access to the site.
While insistent that the eventual design of the ferry terminal will be 'up to developers', Peel has suggested that it would also include a brand new 'embassy' building to promote the Island to passing tourists.
