Plans for Manx Care call centre service for queries and complaints

Hopes this will stop public going through MHKs and MLCs to question health service

Manx Care bosses want to set up a new call centre to help answer questions from the public.

Plans to create, and publicise, the service are included in a report to the board by chairman Andrew Foster.

One of the main communication issues flagged by Manx Care is dealing with queries and complaints from the public and politicians.

It's planning to set up a new call service to answer most questions immediately - with a maximum 20-day response time.

Simpler enquiries will be dealt with in half that time.

It's hoped this will stop the public going through MHKs and MLCs to ask questions about the health service.

The Manx Care board held its first public meeting today, which was live streamed on Facebook.
