Plastic-free food festival 'would be too far'

Minister Boot and Howard Quayle at the launch of the single use plastic reduction plan for the Isle of Man Community

Weekend event highlights food miles and waste management

Having the Isle of Man Food Festival plastic-free would be "a little bit too far", according to the minister of environment, food and agriculture.

However, Geoffrey Boot does say efforts will be made to reduce plastic items there, where possible.

The event is being held at the Villa Marina in Douglas this weekend.

The importance of food miles and waste management will be among the themes featured.
