Urged people not to use Peveril Road as a shortcut
Police are appealing for a motorist who hit a woman, as she was walking her child home from school, to come forward.
The male driver of a black hatchback struck her elbow, as they were walking on Peveril Road, at around 3.30pm last Friday (8 October).
He's been described as being in his 60s, with white or grey hair, and of average build – he did stop at the scene.
Anyone who can help is asked to contact Peel Police Station.
Officers say the one-way access road, which leads to Mountain View, should not be used as a shortcut – particularly at school drop off and collection times.
They say they're aware the signage in the area is 'badly faded' and have asked the Department of Infrastructure to replace it.
