Police cuts and use of reserves questioned in House of Keys

The effects police cuts are having, using government reserves to balance the budget and Isle of Man Railways' diesel locomotive are some of the subjects for House of Keys questions today.

There are other budget-related queries, too, on the General Registry's proposed new IT system and the 10% rise in income tax paid by companies on income from land and property

In all, there are 23 questions for oral answer, and eight for written reply.

Away from the questions, the Representation of the People (Amendment) Bill and the Legislative Council Reform Bill both have their second readings.

The Interpretation Bill and Legislation Bill both have their third readings, while the Income Tax Bill is at the clauses stage.

You can hear coverage of House of Keys questions on Manx Radio's AM1368 frequency, online at manxradio.com, and via the iPhone and Android apps from 10 o' clock this morning.
