Police have released more details about an accident which closed the St Johns to Peel Road on Tynwald Day.
Officers say the crash happened just after midday on Monday, involving a dark Renault car driven by a 37 year-old Peel woman and a red and white Honda motorbike ridden by a 33 year-old Douglas man.
The road had to be closed for two hours while forensic collision investigators carried out enquiries.
The bike rider was taken to Nobles Hospital with arm injuries and remains hospitalised – although police say his injuries aren’t life-threatening.
