Tynwald question on success of technology trial by police
The policy on the use of body cameras by government workers is set to be queried in Tynwald this week (19 June).
Garff MHK Daphne Caine will ask two questions on the use of the technology at the June sitting of the court.
It was announced last May that a six month trial of the cameras would be carried out by the Island's police.
Mrs Caine says concerns over the possible expansion of their deployment to other government employees has prompted the enquiry:
Person suffers 'significant injuries' in 'serious assault' near Peel
Business case for horse trams to be put before Tynwald in July
Plans to turn 'underused space' in central Douglas into wellness retreat
Employment grievance 'upheld' against board of Peel Commissioners
