Last report to be published was in 2021
Politicians have unanimously supported an amended motion to publish all Public Service Commission (PSC) reports before March next year.
Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper argues that, by law, all reports should be published 'as soon as practicable', but currently none have been received for the years 2022, 2023 or 2024.
Former PSC Chair Kate Lord-Brennan had promised to combine the 2022 and 2023 reports but indicated that these documents needed to be "significantly restructured" in order to make them "meaningful."
The current Chair of the PSC, Rob Callister, agreed in principle with Mr Hooper, but argued that providing the 2024 report in that time will be 'a lot of work' for his officers as it hasn't been drafted yet and therefore presented an amendment to its publication date.
He's now been tasked with laying the first two reports before Tynwald in January's sitting and the last one before the court in March.
