Police enforce route closure until 3pm
The Poortown Road in St Johns has been closed following what police are describing as a serious accident.
It happened around 8.30am (Thurs 5th) just west of Brack a Broom Lane.
Officers have updated a road closure (10.30am) to say the road will remain closed between the junctions with Ballawattleworth Estate and the junction with the C3 Switchback Road until 3pm or until the area has been cleared and investigations concluded, whichever is sooner.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
No details have been released at this stage as to the exact nature of the incident.
