Port St Mary commissioners hold public meeting

Hour-long session in west room from 7pm

Two Port St. Mary Commissioners will be available to answer questions from the public this evening.

Michelle Haywood and Andrew Phair will be in the west room at the town hall for an hour from 7pm.

The authority is currently without clerk Alastair Hamilton who is on sick leave and rates in the village have gone up by 5.2%.

The Police were also called to investigate how a story about two extraordinary general meetings to discuss the position of the clerk was leaked to Isle of Man Newspapers.

Fellow commissioner Laurence Vaughan-Williams is holding a separate surgery at the same venue on Saturday morning.
