Jersey has followed the Isle of Man's lead and welcomed a letter from United Kingdom Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
He wrote to all the Crown dependencies to tell them they had to raise their financial transparency and regulatory standards.
Jersey’s Chief Minister Terry Le Sueur says the letter is a positive endorsement of his jurisdiction's policies, and denies it's a series of thinly-veiled threats:
Overnight sailings cancelled due to adverse weather
Rapist who 'terrorised' his victim told his sentence was 'entirely justified'
Complaints process for health system changed
Discovery of oiled birds 'makes a mockery of our biosphere status'
