Post office and Manx Gas issues make up majority of Keys questions

Moorhouse to quiz three ministers and IoMPO chair

The House of Keys holds its first sitting of 2020 today, with post office-related issues taking centre stage.

Four of the ten questions for oral answer come from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse, and relate to the possible closure of Ballasalla's sub-post office.

Clare Barber and Lawrie Hooper both have questions about Manx Gas's regulatory agreement for the policy and reform minister.

Julie Edge wants to know what the enterprise minister's economic strategy for rural businesses is.

Mr Hooper will ask the treasury minister what progress he has made with workplace pensions.

Dr Alex Allinson is to quiz the health minister about when the private patient wing at Noble's Hospital will reopen, and also wants David Ashford to make a statement about future private medicine provision.

And Martyn Perkins is wondering what plans the enterprise minister has to mark the bicentenary of the founding of the RNLI in 2024.

You can hear Keys questions on Manx Radio's AM1368 frequency, online at manxradio.com and via the smartphone apps from 10am.
