
Social Care Minister Chris Robertshaw says scrapping over-the-counter pension and benefits payments could save the government £900,000 a year.
Today in the House of Keys he faced questions from North Douglas MHK John Houghton about plans to switch people to bank transfers instead.
Mr Robertshaw said many people wanted to be paid that way because that’s how their salaries had been paid out.
