Some services seeing 5.75 per cent jump
Post Office price hikes are coming into force today (8 January) which will see some services jump by 5.75 per cent.
The cost of a standard stamp is rising from 80p to 85p in a move previously announced last month.
Postal rates for letters, large letters, guaranteed next-day services and ancillary services are also subject to the increase.
Isle of Man Post Office is blaming pressures on its operating costs for the changes which are going up in line with inflation.
Chair of the organisation, Stu Peters MHK, has previously stated 'price increases are never an easy decision', but the board is confident their prices remain 'competitive and value for money'.
