Parts of Douglas and surrounding areas are without electricity this afternoon, although the MEA says supplies are gradually being restored.
The MEA says teams of engineers are working on a major fault - but at present the cause of the problem isn't known.
Areas still without power are from Douglas power station up to Braddan - Pulrose, Spring Valley, Harcroft and Farmhill - and Tromode, although supplies have now been restored to Noble's Hospital and Hospice.
It's understood some traffic lights may also be affected.
The MEA has apologised for the fault.
