'Pressure may force gas charge changes'

A campaigner hopes continued pressure will force Manx Gas to scrap its standing charges.

Speaking before a second protest today (24 October) over the energy provider's controversial banding system, Barry Murphy says it's now up to Manx Gas to show the will for change.

Concerned energy users are meeting outside the House of Keys this afternoon from 1, after a similar demonstration was held last month against what many termed 'unfair overcharging'.

Government has committed to investigate its regulatory agreement with Manx Gas, but officials from both camps say the deal can't be altered until December 2018.
