Probation for man who threatened to cause 'murder scene'

27-year-old told woman: "You don't know what I'm capable of"

A Peel man has been ordered to work with the probation service after threatening to cause a ‘murder scene’ whilst drunk.

Connor Thomas Collister, of Castle Street, was at a property in Colby on 16 July when he became angry and smashed a fruit bowl.

The 27-year-old then picked up a knife before pointing it at the homeowner and shouting: “You don’t know what I’m capable of.”

Police were called and found Collister nearby, just after 1.30am, after he’d fled from the address; at Douglas Courthouse he admitted affray.

Collister’s advocate told the court his client was threatening to harm himself but acknowledged: "What happened must have been extremely concerning."

Imposing an 18-month probation order Magistrates also ordered Collister to pay £125 in prosecution costs.
