Project to explore Island's 'blue carbon' potential

MHK insists no marine life will be damaged in the process

A 12-month project is underway to see how the Island's marine and coastal environment can help fight climate change.

Government - along with the National Oceanographic Centre and Swansea University - wants to see how much 'blue carbon' is being generated off Manx shores.

Blue carbon can be found stored in the seabed, underwater plants and animals.
