DEFA Minister denies decision based on public outcry
Protecting the Cosy Nook in Port Erin from demolition wasn't a decision based on peer pressure, according to Environment Minister Geoffrey Boot.
It's after government announced it was stepping in to protect both the Cosy Nook and Trafalgar House in Douglas from destruction.
The two well-known buildings have now been issued with Building Preservation Notices while further assessments are carried out.
However, Mr Boot explains this doesn't mean they're registered:
