Chief minister to meet key EU contacts
The chief minister is travelling to Brussels today for an update on the implications of Brexit on the Isle of Man.
During a two day visit, Howard Quayle will attend the City of London's annual expo, where the Isle of Man's close ties with UK financial markets will be promoted.
He'll also meet key contacts in the Belgian capital, including the Island's 'eyes and ears' in Brussels David Corlett, whose main job is to promote Manx interests and offer the government here feedback.
Mr Quayle says he hopes to gather further views on how the UK's departure for the EU will affect business in the Isle of Man.
He'll attend an evening reception and dinner hostd by the City of London as well as a number of briefings and one-to-one meetings, in what's described as an intelligence gathering exercise for the new chief minister.
