'Quick-fix' needed to get Sulby Claddagh open this season, says landlord

Landlord says uncertainty remains despite government pledge

A 'quick-fix' is needed to get Sulby Claddagh reopened for overnight camping as soon as possible for this season.

That's the view of a pub landlord in the Sulby area after government pledged at a public meeting last night to look at options to resume overnight stays there this year.

Among the ideas being explored are opening the location during the TT period and, if possible, for other periods throughout the season.

However, Ben Sowrey, proprietor of the Ginger Hall Hotel, believes the campsite needs to be more available than that to help local businesses survive:
