The creation of a tenpin bowling and leisure centre in Ramsey on the old swimming pool site has moved a step closer.
Ramsey Town Commissioners have applied to government for a 25-year lease for the proposed centre's Manx-registered operating company, Buffalo Bowling and Leisure Ltd.
The firm's proposal to create a tenpin bowling complex was plucked from four different ones, as it's seen as offering the greatest benefit to the town, say the commissioners.
Chairman Nigel Malpass says, "This proposal by Mr Price and his fellow directors is an unequivocal vote of confidence in Ramsey.
"It also reflects the views expressed by many of the people of Ramsey when last year the Commission was presented with a petition of 1320 signatories calling for the building to be transformed into a tenpin bowling centre.
