Rare cattle which have arrived on the Island to protect the breed from extinction could one day produce gourmet food.
So says Paul Davis, the farmer who’s creating a safe haven on the Isle of Man for White Park cattle at Ballaloaghtan Farm.
The idea is to keep a stock on the Island in case the breed is ever wiped out by disease in the UK.
Paul says the aim is to eventually produce a different sort of beef than people may be used to, in order to ensure the cattle’s survival:
