Drug crime up by 30%, though
Recorded crime on the Island is at its lowest level since 1970
That's according to the latest figures released by police.
They show a total figure of 1,968 crimes for the 12-month period between April 2015 and April this year - 10% down against the average for the past three years and substantially down on the 6,000 figure recorded in 2000.
Home Affairs Minister Juan Watterson says the figures represent a fantastic achievement for officers, though he admits a 30% increase in drug crime is of some concern
