Covid-19 restrictions say fishing is not daily exercise
The Department for Environment, Food and Agriculture has now confirmed that recreational fishing is not allowed under coronavirus restrictions.
In a post on social media, Government says this is in order for the public to avoid non-essential journeys.
It adds that recreational fishing is not recognised as a valid form of daily exercise.
The temporary ruling means the sale of all freshwater fishing licences has been stopped.
