Recyclables don't get burnt, says environment councillor

A Douglas councillor says people need to know that recyclable materials aren't sent to be burnt.

Ritchie McNichol has issued a statement to counter what he described as 'misinformed comments' surrounding the fate of recycling taken from kerb-side collections.

He's worried misinformation could put people off recycling altogether:
