From April you won't be able to use post office counters
Removing the ability for some social housing residents to pay their rent at post offices is a 'bold decision'.
That's the view of the chair of the Isle of Man Post Office.
The Department of Infrastructure has written to its tenants to inform them they won't be able to pay at a post office counter from 1 April.
It's led to concerns about how those without bank accounts will be able to make rent payments and has sparked an urgent Tynwald question for later this week.
Chris Thomas says he's 'disappointed' with the department's decision:
Island's finances 'in a better position than most other jurisdictions'
Completion of assisted dying bill 'the most significant moment of 2025'
Keep dogs away from Garwick Beach for next few days
Cost of sending a letter on the Island to increase in January
