Reporter vows to 'fight for media freedom'

Isle of Man TV founder says IoM Gov't dispute hasn't been handled the right way

A reporter says he'll fight to protect the freedom of the Manx media following a dispute with the Isle of Man Government.

Paul Moulton of Isle of Man TV received a legal letter last week from lawyers representing the Department of Health and Social Care and several civil servants, which he's described as a strategic lawsuit against public participation, or SLAPP.

The health minister also recently declined an interview with Mr Moulton, stating he doesn't recognise Isle of Man TV as a news organisation.

The former BBC and ITV reporter says the matter hasn't been handled in the right way:

Manx Radio has invited the Isle of Man Government to respond.
