Nurses to submit plan by end of 2017

Nurses specialising in respiratory healthcare are putting together a business case to improve the lives of sufferers on the Isle of Man.

The team will submit its plan to address the process from pre-screening to palliation before the end of this year.

It looks to put in place preventative measures to ensure all healthcare professionals are working from the same strategy.

One in eight people struggle with problems that range from asthma, to more severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Respiratory specialist at Noble's Hospital Deborah Corrin says if it's successful, efforts will be made to up-skill GPs and specialist care givers on the Island:
