Revamped collection for National Art Gallery

Launch event held at Manx Museum

An official launch event has been held at the Manx Museum for the reopening of the National Art Gallery.

The artwork on display has been expanded with some 130 pieces making it the largest collection to date.

Katie King is the Curator and Social Historian for Manx National Heritage:

Lieutenant Governor Sir John Lorimer, who delivered a speech at the launch event, says the gallery is an excellent exhibit, showcasing a 'social history' of the Isle of Man:

'It's really nice to be amongst good company in there!' - Juan Moore, Artist.

Juan Moore's artwork 'Where is my Mind?' is one of the pieces on display in the 'People' section of the gallery.

The National Art Gallery at the Manx Museum is open daily 9:30am until 4:30pm, free entry.
