Government currently consulting on Strategic Plan
Towns outside of Douglas could be set to grow as government reassesses its planning policies.
It was recently announced that the Strategic Plan - a document which gives rules and guidance to planners - is to be reviewed.
The current plan focusses on developing properties in and around the Island's capital.
But Ethan Grubb, a senior planning officer within Cabinet Office, says this review could give government an opportunity to develop other communities:
Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital closure 'inconvenient' but 'significant issues' need to be fixed
Four local authorities looking for by-election candidates
Reinstatement of home births 'remains at top of agenda' for Manx Care
Weekend sailings at risk
