Petition by Safe, Strong, Secure
A local charity representative thinks the law on domestic abuse desperately needs to be changed, following public outcry over a recent case.
Tamasin Wedgwood of the 'Safe, Strong, Secure' organisation has started a petition, which is urging the government to review its legislation in light of what the charity feels was "a very disappointing sentence".
It's hoped with enough signatures and the support of some MHKs, awareness can be raised of what is still largely a taboo topic.
