UK mortgage rates have crept up by around 0.2%
A local mortgage advisor says people seeking a mortgage deal for an Isle of Man property should not be overly concerned over reports that UK mortgage rates are rising again.
Paul Chase says his company is facing strong demand for mortgages, the majority of whom are first time buyers.
He says rates offered by lenders here are already generally higher than those in the UK.
The latest Nationwide survey shows UK house prices continuing to fall for the second quarter in a row, with mortgage rates creeping up.
