Figures released today show volunteer crews launched 48 times last year - an increase of 92 per cent on the previous 12 months.
In addition the number of people aided on the Island was up 100 per cent compared to 2020 with Port St Mary the busiest of the Island's five lifeboat stations.
The Isle of Man's RNLI crews spent 384 hours at sea last year - a rise of 133 per cent.
They also rescued a dog during that period - the only animal they had to go to the aid of.
