A number of roads on higher ground will remain closed to traffic until at least 1pm on January 1, when police will carry out a review.
They are the B10 Brandywell Road from Brandywell Cottage to its junction with the A18 Snaefell Mountain Road; the Injebreck Road to its junction at Brandywell Road; and the Druidale Road from Brandywell Cottage to its junction with the Ballaugh Glen Road.
In the south of the Island, the Sloc Road is closed between its junction with the B44 Ballakilpheric Road and the Round Table.
All the roads are affected by sheet ice and snow.
