Road racing shortage 'could leave riders lacking preparation' for 2022

MMCC chairman believes event cancellations could have lasting impact

The shortage of road racing around the world could mean some riders aren't ready to return next year.

The Classic TT and Manx Grand Prix have been cancelled this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

It follows the cancellation of the 2021 TT and Southern 100.

Chairman of the Manx Motor Cycle Club Peter Maddocks believes the lack of events on Island, and further afield, could have an impact on 2022:
