Work on the runway extension at Ronaldsway will soon be able to get under way, following Tynwald approval of £44 million of funding for the project.
Transport Minister David Anderson's motion was passed unanimously by the Legislative Council, with two votes against in the House of Keys.
Prior to the vote members dismissed an amendment from Onchan MHK Peter Karran to have the figure cut to £20 million.
